A leading international logistics and supply chain organization is currently undergoing a major transformation of its warehouse management systems landscape.

After many years of operating a highly customized in-house WMS, the company is transitioning toward standardized solutions built on Blue Yonder WMS.

This transformation creates an exciting challenge: integrating modern software platforms while maintaining operational excellence across a large and complex logistics environment.

To support this journey, we are looking for a Senior WMS Solution Architect / Implementation Lead who can combine technical depth, logistics expertise, and strong stakeholder management to successfully deliver customer-facing WMS implementations.

Your Mission

You will play a key role in delivering end-to-end warehouse system implementations and ensuring successful collaboration between internal teams, external partners, and customers.

WMS Implementation & Solution Design

• Lead end-to-end WMS implementations from discovery through delivery
• Translate business and operational logistics requirements into technical solution designs
• Design scalable solutions using Blue Yonder WMS
• Support integration with surrounding systems (ERP, APIs, data flows)

Requirements Engineering & Delivery

• Gather requirements from operational teams and customers
• Break complex requirements into clear work packages and technical tasks
• Define implementation roadmaps and solution architecture
• Support development where needed with a hands-on mindset
• Manage external implementation partners and integration vendors
• Coordinate workstreams across internal teams, freelancers, and vendors
• Oversee acceptance testing and UAT processes

Stakeholder Communication

• Provide transparent project status updates to internal stakeholders and customers
• Manage escalations and complex project situations
• Communicate progress, risks, and technical decisions clearly

Organizational Transformation

• Support the shift from highly customized systems to standardized platforms
• Help establish best practices for implementation and collaboration
• Contribute to improving project delivery and customer communication

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who combines technical expertise, logistics understanding, and leadership skills.

Must-Have Experience

• Strong experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) implementations
• Experience working with Blue Yonder WMS or comparable supply chain platforms
• Proven track record delivering end-to-end IT implementation projects
• Strong requirements engineering and solution design skills
• Ability to translate business needs into technical architecture
• Experience coordinating external vendors and implementation partners
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Technical Skills

• WMS architecture and implementation
• System integrations (APIs, ERP connections, data flows)
• Requirements engineering and work package design
• UAT and acceptance testing processes
• Hands-on technical mindset (coding experience is a plus)

Nice to Have

• Experience in logistics or supply chain environments
• Consulting or systems integration background
• Knowledge of additional Blue Yonder modules
• Experience working with distributed teams and freelancers

Working Model

• Location: Germany
• On-site presence: approx. 2 days per month at headquarters
• Additional on-site presence for workshops or complex project phases
• Travel expenses covered
