Job summary

HelloFresh is hiring a WMS Software Engineer to join our hybrid team, located at our Boulder, CO HQ or Aurora, IL Factor site, with work spanning SQL development, WMS integrations, and cross‑functional collaboration in an Agile environment.

You will design and implement warehouse workflows, partner with operations, and help deliver scalable solutions across multiple HelloFresh facilities. Travel to facilities may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of software development, systems support, or technical analyst experience, preferably in WMS/logistics.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including writing queries, stored procedures, and basic data modeling.
• Familiarity with GitHub pull requests and interpret YAML-based GitHub Actions workflows to diagnose and fix failed deployment checks.
• Understanding of AWS core services will be preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse management concepts such as inventory locations, LPNs, replenishment, and cycle counts.
• Experience with a scripting or programming language such as Python, Java, or C#.
• Comfort with ticketing and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Slack.
• Preferred: prior experience with Infios, HighJump, Körber, or another enterprise WMS, and exposure to message queues or event streaming such as Kafka.
• 0-2 years of Körber/ HighJump design and development experience with Advantage Architect, Advantage Link, Webwise Page Editor
• Experience with Bartender and Label Design a plus
• Industry experience in food/cold chain a plus
• Willingness to travel to HelloFresh facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Write and update SQL procedures, views, and host tables that support warehouse workflows such as receiving, replenishment, WIP management, and shipping.
• Develop solutions to specifications on time, within budget and with a high degree of quality and precision to specification.
• Support integrations between the WMS and upstream and downstream systems, including production technology, ERP, and Kafka-based messaging.
• Document technical changes and procedures so warehouse teams can use new functionality without extra help.
• Work closely with team colleagues in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily scrums, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies
• Prepare and clearly communicate best in class methods by which HelloFresh Operations can effectively utilize the enhancements developed.
• Document and deliver all required materials to support software change control
• Partner with the HelloFresh WMS support analyst team to triage/ troubleshoot/ resolve complex technical issues or system defects efficiently in order to minimize impact on operations users and/or project timelines
