Performs the functions of a mental health technician in carrying out all assignments given by the RN in charge of the Emergency Department. Is accountable for all patient care given in the Emergency Department. Is responsible for adhering to all Standards of Nursing Care and for promoting teamwork among co-workers.

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of grammar school education; high school or equivalent desirable;
  • Genuine interest in the welfare of ill/mentally ill;
  • Willingness to work under close supervision;
  • Ability to follow written or verbal instructions effectively;
  • Specific orientation and training for the Emergency Department.
