The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia is seeking a Security Specialist (Witness Security) in Washington, DC. You will safeguard victims and witnesses, evaluate risks, and coordinate protection measures with law enforcement.

In this role you will manage confidential records, work with partner agencies, and contribute to program efficiency through meticulous case management and reporting.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience at least 1 year at the GS-11 level performing threat assessment, protection, or relocation duties.
• Experience collaborating with law enforcement, attorneys, and other agencies to coordinate security or relocation services.
• Experience using automated databases to conduct background checks related to security cases.
• Experience preparing sensitive security case records and ensuring program compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review threats against victims and witnesses to determine risk levels and protection measures.
• Coordinate with Victim-Witness staff, government agencies, and community organizations to obtain social or mental health services.
• Serve as main contact for agencies assisting witnesses and guiding Witness Security Program procedures.
• Review monthly credit card charges and provide financial information for payments and accounts.
• Prepare and maintain complete, audit-ready case files and records for investigations and court purposes.
