Job summary

Willamette Family is seeking a Support Staff Specialist for the Withdrawal Management Program at our Eugene, OR location. This full-time, on-site role involves administrative, logistical, and direct resident support to maintain a safe, structured environment.

Responsibilities include answering telephones, general office tasks, assisting counselors, maintaining confidentiality, transporting residents, conducting drug screens, logging daily records, and enforcing facility rules.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Telephone Reception: Answer calls, direct calls, take messages and provide program information.
  • Perform General Office Tasks: Copying, faxing, and helping individuals complete forms.
  • Provide Administrative Support: Assist counselors with office duties to maintain operations.
  • Ensure Confidentiality & Compliance: Adhere to 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA regulations.
  • Transport Residents: Drive residents to scheduled appointments as needed.
  • Support Resident Well-Being: Provide direct support, including crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Conduct Drug Screening: Collect urine samples following program protocols.
  • Communicate Resident Updates: Notify supervisors and counselors of critical information.
  • Monitor Facility Rules: Enforce curfews, bedtimes, bed checks, and visits.
  • Maintain Documentation: Keep daily logs and records up to date.
  • Assist with Additional Duties: Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Position Overview:

Willamette Family is seeking Support Staff Specialist to join our care team within the withdrawal management and medical residential program at our new Buckley location. Support Staff play a crucial role in the services WF provides.

Position: Hiring for full-time position

Employment Type: Employee (W-2), Hourly, Non-Exempt

Shift and Schedule: Hiring for Swing Shift and Graveyard – Must be available for weekends

Compensation: Starts at $17.85/ hr.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • HS/ GED Completion

  • An understanding of substance use disorders
  • The ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, and others with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, cultural backgrounds, lifestyles and sexual orientations and treat each individual with respect and dignity
  • Competency in understanding substance abuse treatment practices.
Employment Requirements:
  • This role requires Support Staff to be available on-site ; Must be located in the Eugene, OR area or be willing to commute.
  • Background Check Approval from the Department of Human Services (Initiated post-offer)
  • Pre-employment Drug Screening (including Cannabis/THC) (Initiated post-offer)
  • Effective 03/28/2025- Willamette Family has a required 12 month waiting period before former clients can apply for employment. This policy is in place to ensure professional boundaries and avoid potential conflicts of interest. Job Duties:

As Support Staff in the Withdrawal Management Program, you will play a vital role in providing administrative, logistical, and direct client support to ensure a safe and structured environment for residents.

  • Transport Residents: Drive residents to scheduled appointments as needed.
  • Support Resident Well-Being: Provide direct support to residents, including crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary.
  • Conduct Drug Screening: Collect urine analysis (U.A.) samples from residents following program protocols.
  • Communicate Resident Updates: Notify supervisors, counselors, and management of any critical information regarding residents.
  • Monitor Facility Rules: Enforce curfews, oversee bedtimes, complete bed checks, and supervise visits.
  • Maintain Documentation: Keep accurate and up-to-date daily logs and records.
  • Assist with Additional Duties: Complete other tasks assigned by the Program Manager, Clinical Supervisor, or Program Director.
