Common Cause in Wisconsin seeks a collaborative and visionary State Director to promote the nonprofit’s democracy agenda at the state and national level. You will lead a high-performing team, manage operations and fundraising, and serve as the state spokesperson while expanding membership and influence across Wisconsin.

The role requires travel within the state (4+ days per month during sessions) and strategic oversight of policy campaigns, coalition-building, and grassroots organizing.

Competenze

• Experience leading successful local- or state-level public advocacy campaigns related to democracy, elections, voting rights and civil rights.
• Experience drafting, analyzing and advocating for legislation in Wisconsin.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Wisconsin’s political dynamics and key funders/decision-makers.
• Experience building and leading coalitions representing diverse stakeholder interests.
• Track record of leading organization-wide change initiatives.

• Engage members and the public through social media, websites, and emails.
