Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a detail-oriented Wiring Technician – Switchgear to join our manufacturing team. You will wire electrical components for switchgear systems based on schematics and drawings, ensuring reliable power solutions for our global customers.

You will install hardware, route and terminate wiring, perform quality checks, and support functional testing while adhering to safety and production standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience wiring switchgear preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with OSHA and NEC safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Wiring & Assembly: Install and connect wiring for switchgear components based on schematics and drawings.
• Component Installation: Mount relays, circuit breakers, switches, busbars and other hardware into enclosures using hand and power tools.
• Routing & Terminating: Route, strip, crimp, and terminate wires and cables accurately using proper techniques.
• Quality Control: Perform self-inspections to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Testing & Troubleshooting: Assist in functional testing and troubleshoot miswires or malfunctions.
• Documentation: Record wiring tasks according to production requirements.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace and follow PPE guidelines.
