Job summary

Orbital Corporation in Zephyrhills, FL is seeking a Wiring Harness Assembler to join our precision manufacturing team. This hands-on role involves assembling wiring harnesses and cable assemblies according to drawings, with focus on quality and reliability.

You will read wiring diagrams, cut, strip, crimp, solder, terminate wires, and inspect final assemblies. The position requires good tool skills and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly drawings.
• Proficiency with hand tools, crimping tools, and soldering equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wiring harnesses and cable assemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires to specified lengths and configurations.
• Solder connections and install connectors, terminals, and other components.
• Inspect completed assemblies for quality, continuity, and compliance with specifications.
• Use hand tools, crimping tools, and test equipment to complete assemblies.
• Identify and report defects, discrepancies, or production issues to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in accordance with company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble wiring harnesses and cable assemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions
• Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires to specified lengths and configurations
• Solder connections and install connectors, terminals, and other components
• Inspect completed assemblies for quality, continuity, and compliance with specifications
• Use hand tools, crimping tools, and test equipment to complete assemblies

Requirements:

• Prior experience in wiring harness assembly, cable assembly, or electrical manufacturing preferred
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly drawings

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
