Job summary

Axis Energy Services in Williston, ND seeks a Cased-Hole Operator to perform open-hole and/or cased-hole logging tasks, rig up/down, operate wireline truck, and maintain equipment at the wellsite.

This labor-intensive role requires adherence to FMCSA rules, ability to travel up to 80%, a valid Class B CDL (Hazmat preferred), and a clean driving record; pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or better.
• Valid Class B CDL; Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required.
• Minimum three years of driving experience.
• Must have an acceptable driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
• Wireline experience preferred but not required.
• Willing to travel up to 80% time.

Responsibilities

• Installs / disassembles (rig up/rig down) of wireline and pressure control equipment in accordance with OEM standards; verifies certifications.
• Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency.
• Performs shipping, loading, and unloading duties.
• Follows FMCSA compliance regulations for transportation routing and scheduling.
• Validates and documents identity and quantity of all equipment.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots wireline truck and equipment and keeps records.
• Drives wireline trucks, cranes, pickup trucks, and trailers.
• Ensures compliance with regulations applicable to wireline explosives operations.
• Cleans and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment; troubleshoots problems; maintains shop and field tools.
• Provides support to crew members and communicates equipment issues.

Job description

***This job has preference to qualified local job seekers within 60 miles of Axis Williston, ND facility.

The Cased-Hole Operator will execute operations in all aspects of open-hole and/or cased-hole logging and completion services which may include, but is not limited to, rigging up the truck at the service location, assisting with all operations both in the shop and at the wellsite. This individual will also operate and maintain the assigned wireline truck and equipment, as well as keeps records for the overall operation.

The Cased-Hole Operator position is a labor-intensive role within our Wireline division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Installs / disassembles (rig up/rig down) of wireline and pressure control equipment in accordance with original equipment manufacturer's standards including verification of applicable certifications. Assembles, secures, and disconnects equipment
• Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency.
• Performs a combination of shipping, loading, and unloading duties.
• Follows all standard shipping practices and procedures with full FMCSA compliance regulations including additional transportation routing and scheduling requirements.
• Validates and documents identity and quantity of all equipment.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots wireline truck and equipment including diagnostics, as well as keeps records for the overall operation.
• Drives company vehicles and equipment: wireline trucks, cranes, pickup truck, pickup truck with trailer
• Ensures compliance with all regulations applicable to wireline explosives operations.
• Cleans and maintains company vehicles, tools, and equipment; troubleshoots tool, equipment, and truck problems; restores tools in the shop and in the field.
• Provides support to crew members with operations on and off location and communicate with technicians on equipment failure.
• Performs other duties as assigned as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Must be 21 years of age
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must possess a Class B CDL (Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required)
• Minimum three (3) years of driving experience
• Must have an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check
• Wireline experience preferred but not required
• Willing to travel up to 80% time
