Job summary

Mustang Wireline Services, LLC is seeking a reliable Wireline Field Operator to assist in loading, rigging, and deploying wireline and pressure control equipment under the supervision of a Field Engineer. You will assemble tool strings, operate company vehicles, and ensure DOT compliance while prioritizing safety and teamwork.

The role involves long hours in demanding conditions, with per/job bonuses and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Must live within 60 miles of Wichita Falls, TX and be willing to travel to job sites.
  • Must pass BATFE background check to obtain Employee Possessor status.
  • Previous wireline/oilfield experience preferred.
  • Must have CDL Class A or B and a clean MVR with no felonies.
  • Ability to pass regular Drug and Alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist load out/rig up/rig down of wireline and pressure control equipment under supervision.
  • Assemble and prepare tool strings with minimal supervision.
  • Safely drive and operate company vehicles to job locations.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT and explosives-related regulations.
  • Troubleshoot, redress, and maintain tools and equipment in shop and field.
  • Participate in safety meetings and complete required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Assists in the load out/rig up/rig down of wireline and associated pressure control equipment under the direct supervision of the assigned Field Engineer.

Assists in the load out/rig up/rig down of wireline and associated pressure control equipment under the direct supervision of the assigned Field Engineer.

Assemble and make ready tool strings with minimal supervision.

Safely drive and operate company vehicles and equipment to and from job locations.

Ensures compliance with all regulations applicable to DOT and wireline explosives operations.

Perform all tasks in accordance with applicable customer and company policies, safety guidelines and industry standards.

Clean, operate, and maintain wireline truck, crane truck, company vehicles, tools, & equipment.

Troubleshoot, redress, rebuild and maintenance tools and equipment in the shop and in the field.

Actively participate in Safety Meetings and attain proper safety training and certifications as directed.

Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements For Wireline Field Operators

Must live within 1 hour or a 60-mile radius of Wichita Falls, TX

Must be 21 years of age or older and have ability to pass BATFE Background check in order to obtain Employee Possessor status.

Previous Wireline And Or Oilfield Experience “preferred”.

Must Have Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL Class A or B.)

Clean MVR, no prior felonies.

Ability to pass and conform to regular Drug and Alcohol Testing.

Must have flexibility to work schedules based on business needs and dispatch to work sites as job requires.

Must Have a high school diploma or equivalent

Ability to work both independently and as a team.

Ability to stand, bend, squat, crawl and walk; may have long periods of standing or sitting.

Must be able to lift minimum of 75lbs and work in demanding conditions.

Can tolerate physical/manual work, outdoors, and sometimes in extreme weather conditions.

Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written.

Ability to read and interpret instructions and documents.

Basic writing, math, and computer skills.
