Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Wireline Field Operator to perform field duties at the well site and in the shop, including pre-job and post-job checks, unit maintenance, and on-site activities. This role requires technical aptitude, strong safety awareness, and effective communication with customers and team members.

Responsibilities include rigging, tool maintenance, well-site data recording, and training of junior operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work with customers and employees
• Ability to work on-call 24×7 and travel to well sites
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a Federal background check
• Ability to utilize computers for reporting and other work-related purposes
• Must be 21 years of age or older to obtain ATF explosives certification

• Service mechanical devices and build logging cable heads
• Perforate cable heads and maintain tools
• Maintain well site/DOT records and communications with District Manager
• Promote and maintain good customer relations
• Receive instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on well site activity
• Performing other related duties as required
• Drive company vehicles safely and in compliance with regulations
• Supervise and train other Field Operators while maintaining safety

As a Wireline Field Operator, you will be fully competent in all aspects of operator duties at the well site and at the shop, can maintain the unit and perform all pre-job duties, well-site operations and post-job duties, as well as training of junior operators.

As a Wireline Field Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing for jobs and performing tool maintenance, pre-job and post- job tool checkout.
• Rigging-up and rigging-down equipment at the well site.
• Servicing mechanical devices and building logging cable heads
• Perforating cable heads and maintenance on the tools
• Maintaining well site/DOT records and communications as required by District Manager
• Promoting and maintaining good customer relations
• Receiving instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on well site activity
• Performing basic duties at the well site and at the shop
• Driving company vehicles in a safe manner while observing company and government regulations
• Participating in quality improvement efforts for ballistics operations
• Supervising and train other Field Operators while maintaining a high level of safety awareness at the well site
• Performing other related duties as required
