Description

We have a critical impact on delivering high-quality functional products quickly. Join a team of expert software and hardware engineers with diverse backgrounds (Cellular Modems, Connectivity solutions, Device Drivers, CPUs and caching, kernel programming, embedded systems) to test Apple's next-generation Wireless SoCs. As part of the Wireless team, you will support one of the most advanced labs and be involved in the full development cycle from silicon to products.

Description

You will work closely with silicon validation engineers to understand setup requirements for their use-cases. Deploy and manage new test setups for integrated wireless chipsets and full systems. Manage hundreds of setups of wireless chipsets with cutting-edge technology. Collaborate with internal groups to ensure smooth development of volume and stress tests. Support automation infrastructure and hardware setups to scale into test racks and large-scale testing.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of industry-related experience.
  • Experience with schematics and layout to communicate with rework technicians.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of building and handling PC/Mac systems.
  • Strong hardware maintenance and system setup debugging skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware systems to the component level and perform root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (shell scripts, Perl, Tcl, or Python).
  • Knowledge of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, DMM, spectrum analyzers, and VNA.
  • Knowledge of networking, remote desktop, and server management.
  • Familiarity with MacOS, Windows OS, Pages/Word, Keynote, and Excel.

At Apple, base pay is part of our total compensation package and varies within a range based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The pay range for this role is between $43.70 and $77.65/hr. Employees may also participate in stock programs, receive benefits such as medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts, educational reimbursement, and potential bonuses or relocation assistance.
