Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Security Engineer to build cloud-based detection systems for wireless threats at scale. You will work with RF telemetry, sensor data, and security logs to surface anomalies and drive secure outcomes across global facilities.

You will own the detection engineering lifecycle, validate hypotheses in cloud environments, and contribute to AI-assisted automation to streamline data collection and triage. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of security-related professional experience.
• 3+ years in detection engineering, security data analysis, or security operations engineering.
• 1+ years hands-on experience with wireless security tools (packet capture, spectrum analysis, WIDS).
• Experience writing detection logic, rules, or threat signatures for production monitoring.
• Experience with log aggregation/analysis platforms (Splunk/OpenSearch/ELK).
• Experience with cloud hosting technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency in Python for tooling, automation, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of threat modeling or risk identification techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain cloud-based detection logic for wireless security threats.
• Analyze large-scale security data to identify anomalies and trends.
• Develop data pipelines to ingest, normalize, and enrich wireless telemetry.
• Own wireless security investigations from framing through delivery.
• Leverage AI-assisted workflows for data collection, triage, and pattern recognition.
• Conduct on-site wireless assessments when needed.
