Job summary

Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks graduates in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science to join a multidisciplinary team focused on real-world communication systems for special operations and intelligence communities.

You will design and analyze wired and wireless links (RF, optical, SDR, 5G), work with sponsors on tough problems, and advance technologies to counter evolving threats in collaborative environments.

Qualifications

  • Experience with DSP, physics and communication theory.
  • Proficient in C/C++, C#, or Java and scripting with MATLAB or Python.
  • Ability to work in small, multi-disciplinary teams.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design communication systems for dynamic operational environments.
  • Analyze resilient networks spanning wired and wireless domains.
  • Work with RF/optical links, SDR, 5G and related protocols.
  • Engage with sponsors to solve challenging problems.
  • Research and apply new technologies against evolving threats.
