Job summary

New Era Technology is seeking an experienced Wireless Network Engineer to design, implement, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise wireless and wired networks in a corporate IT environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Cisco wireless expertise, WLC and Catalyst 9800 experience, and strong RF knowledge to optimize coverage and performance across campuses in the United States.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Cisco wireless platforms.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco WLCs.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst 9800 series.
• Strong knowledge of 802.11 standards and RF configurations.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, implement and maintain enterprise wireless and wired networks.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco WLCs and Catalyst 9800 series.
• Perform RF site surveys using Ekahau and analyze results.
• Monitor RF coverage, interference, and channel utilization.
• Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, performance and authentication issues.
• Document configurations and troubleshooting activities.
