Job summary

BearCom in Chantilly, VA is seeking an Installation Technician to install and support wireless and electronic communications systems. You will perform data cabling installations, assist with system commissioning, and assess site requirements to tailor customer proposals.

Ideal candidates have experience with DAS, CAT5/6, and low-voltage work, can lift up to 50 lbs, and hold a valid driver’s license. Some travel and on-call hours are expected, with per diem provided.

Qualifications

• Experience installing CAT5/6 cable and related support devices.
• Experience installing DAS and communication systems in buildings.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., work on ladders and in challenging positions.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
• Good communication and basic computer skills (Outlook/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Physical installation of data cabling and mounting infrastructure.
• Support commissioning of communications and low voltage systems.
• Site walks to determine installation requirements for customer proposals.
• Recommend appropriate equipment and hardware meeting customer needs.
• Regional travel and/or on-call hours may be required; Per Diem provided.
