Belcan, LLC in Indianapolis, IN seeks an Embedded Software Engineer – MST to design, develop, and maintain software for ARM Cortex-M33 based embedded systems, focusing on wireless protocols.

The role requires Embedded C, RTOS/bare-metal firmware, DMA, UART, SPI/I2C, and strong experience with Z‑Wave/sub‑GHz wireless, Silicon Labs SDKs, and secure OTA updates. This is a 12‑month contract with on‑site duties and a competitive pay rate of $70.51/hr.

Qualifications

• Embedded C development for ARM Cortex-M33 based platforms.
• Bare-metal and RTOS firmware development experience.
• Experience with Z-Wave and sub-GHz wireless protocols.
• Strong debugging and toolchain experience (J-Link, SWD, GDB).
• Secure OTA updates and firmware updates handling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for wireless devices.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers for integrated solutions.
• Implement low-power firmware architectures and DMA/timers/UART/SPI/I2C usage.
• Work with Silicon Labs SDKs and Z-Wave stacks; ensure robust RF behavior.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD for firmware.
