Job summary

A telecommunications solutions provider is seeking a Wireless Architect to define architecture and provide solutions using wireless protocols like WiFi, LTE, and 5G. Candidates should have device testing expertise and be familiar with third-party network emulators. Strong communication skills and a willingness to travel for testing are required. This is a full-time position based in Philadelphia.

Wireless Architect - Job responsibilities

Responsibilities

1. Defining architecture and services solutioning with Wireless protocols 5G/4G RAN and Core networks
2. Create and define solution design, implementation, validation, support, and solution life-cycle management
3. Guide technology partner and Network OEM ecosystem relationships
4. Guide and lead teams of integration engineers, automation/test engineers, release and operation engineer
5. Craft project artifacts and deliverables which includes design document, solution descriptions, top-level designs, and other documentation.

Qualifications / Experience

1. Required test engineer with experience of device testing in the Lab & field
2. Good knowledge of WiFi, LTE and/or 5G Protocol knowledge
3. Experience of using third party network emulators like Spirent / Keysight ...etc
4. Experience in device validation with the network emulators, production network & field/drive testing
5. Experience in SIM reading and updation
6. Experience in log collection, problem reporting & follow-up
7. Good analytical skills on problem identification
8. Usage of tools like QCAT, XCAL, JIRA, dashboards ...etc
9. Good communication skills to work with all cross-functional teams
10. Experience in device build upgradation, validation
11. Willing to travel for drive testing, on demand
