Job summary

Bridgeways Everett is seeking a Wire Shop Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee daily wire shop operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and productivity goals are met. The role provides day-to-day leadership to Manufacturing Leads and Technicians, supports employee development, and collaborates with Manufacturing Leadership to improve processes and meet production schedules.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of electrical manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 2 years leading manufacturing teams preferred.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Space manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions and process improvements preferred.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards preferred.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Must be able to pass Background check and be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of the Wire Shop.
  • Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to Manufacturing Leads and Technicians.
  • Conduct daily production communication to establish priorities and address concerns.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Support employee development and cross-training to improve workforce flexibility.
  • Ensure employees are following established work instructions, standard work, and company procedures.
  • Ensure production schedules are achieved safely, efficiently, and on time.
  • Monitor labor utilization, throughput, productivity, and department performance.
  • Balance workload and staffing resources to meet production demands.
  • Maintain production flow by monitoring work-in-process, removing barriers, and escalating issues.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for the Wire Shop and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and maintain standardized work practices and support continuous improvements.
  • Maintain knowledge of IPC, customer requirements, and electrical manufacturing best practices.
  • Support implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
  • Provide input during RFQ reviews, estimating, and process planning.
  • Review new jobs for manufacturability and potential production concerns.
  • Coordinate production readiness for new products and assist implementation.
  • Participate in customer visits, audits, and facility tours as requested.
  • Monitor labor efficiency, productivity, and departmental performance.
  • Support departmental budget goals through effective labor utilization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

The Wire Shop Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Wire Shop while ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved. This position provides day-to-day leadership to Manufacturing Leads and Technicians, supports employee development, and works closely with Manufacturing Leadership to improve processes, maintain customer requirements, and meet production schedules.

The Wire Shop Manufacturing Supervisor also serves as a technical resource for the department, supports new product introductions, participates in customer audits and facility tours, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay

$74,520 - $87,120 /annually

Leadership & Team Management
  • Supervise the daily operations of the Wire Shop.
  • Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to Manufacturing Leads and Technicians.
  • Conduct daily production communication to establish priorities and address concerns.

  • Maintain production flow by monitoring work-in-process, removing operational barriers, and escalating issues that could impact safety, quality, delivery, staffing, equipment, or customer commitments.
Technical Leadership
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for the Wire Shop by providing guidance, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting Manufacturing Leads and Technicians.
  • Recommend tooling, fixtures, equipment, and process improvements to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain standardized work practices and support continuous process improvements.
  • Maintain knowledge of IPC standards, customer requirements, and electrical manufacturing best practices.
  • Support implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
Customer Support and New Product Introduction
  • Provide technical input during RFQ reviews, estimating, and process planning activities.
  • Review new jobs for manufacturability and identify potential production concerns.
  • Support new product introductions by coordinating production readiness and assisting with implementation into the Wire Shop.
  • Participate in customer visits, audits, and facility tours as requested.
Operational Accountability
  • Monitor labor efficiency, productivity, and departmental performance to support operational goals.
  • Support departmental budget goals through effective labor utilization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support departmental budget objectives.
Quality and Continuous Improvement
  • Support compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Ensure employees follow quality procedures and customer requirements.
  • Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in internal, customer, and certification audits.

QUALIFICATIONS

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Must be able to pass Background check in accordance with Customer Guidelines and Requirements.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Education And Qualifications
  • 5 years of electrical manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 2 years leading manufacturing teams preferred.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Space manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions and manufacturing process improvements preferred.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards preferred.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
