Job summary

Elliott Electric Supply in Farmers Branch, TX is hiring for a Wire Room Associate (Wire Cutter). This role supports daily warehouse operations with first shift hours and one required Saturday per month.

The candidate will identify wire by size/type, read orders, and cut wire to order while maintaining safety and inventory control. Strong basic math and forklift certification are favored.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• Able to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code.
• Must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
• Basic math skills and reasoning skills.
• Certification of power‑truck equipment.
• Operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar‑coding equipment, handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill all orders that require shipment of spools and/or any wire in a timely manner.
• Ensure shipments of wire being sent are cut to order and adhere to safety standards.
• Carry out housekeeping tasks and other duties assigned by management.

Wire Room Associate (Wire Cutter)

Hours: Monday through Friday, 1st Shift: 5:00am to 2:00pm. Must be able to work 1 Saturday per month, 8am-12pm on rotating basis.

Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring that all orders that require shipment of spools and/or any wire are fulfilled within a timely manner. Also responsible for ensuring that shipments of wire being sent are cut to order and adhere to safety standards. Responsible for any assigned housekeeping tasks and for carrying out any other duties assigned to them by management.

Physical Requirements

Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Able to withstand extreme temperatures in a typical warehouse environment. Position spends a large amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing. Position may require climbing of ladders for top‑level selection. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
