Job summary

Lonestar Electric Supply is seeking a Wire Room Associate to join a dynamic team. The role involves fulfilling wire orders, packing, stocking, loading, unloading, and maintaining organization and safety in the wire room within the warehouse.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, prompt, reliable and engaged, with the ability to operate various wire handling tools and ERP systems such as Epicor Eclipse. This position supports our internal and external partners and emphasizes proactive

Qualifications

• Ability to operate various wire and material handling equipment.
• Strong reading and communication skills.
• Epicor Eclipse ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and stock wires used in the electrical industry.
• Review orders, pull wire from spools, examine for accuracy, wrap for transport.
• Provide loading and unloading support as needed.
• Update databases and provide accurate inventory counts.
• Follow processes as instructed by Lead or Wire Room Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
• Follow safety guidelines and proper protocols.
• Provide excellent service to internal/external partners and vendors.
• Communicate issues to management proactively.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership.

VETERANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY Lonestar Electric Supply and its subsidiaries are looking for a Wire Room Associate who will work with a dynamic team of individuals to perform various tasks related to fulfilling wire orders, packaging, stocking, loading, unloading, and ensuring the general organization and safety of the wire room within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will be dependable, prompt, reliable and engaged. They will also drive and promote our passion to MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and stock various wires utilized in the electrical industry.
• Review orders, pull requested wire from spools, examine for accuracy, and wrap for transport.
• Provide loading and unloading support as needed.
• Update databases timely and provide accurate inventory counts as requested.
• Follow processes and procedures as instructed by your Lead or Wire Room Supervisor.
• Help maintain a clean and organized working environment.
• Follow established safety guidelines and proper protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service to our internal and external partners, customers, logistics professionals, vendors as well as vendor partners and employees.
• Proactive communication to management regarding issues and concerns.
• Other tasks as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

• Ability to operate various types of wire and material handling equipment including wire cutters, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts as needed.
• Strong reading and communication skills.
• Epicor Eclipse ERP experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• May be required to move up to 40 lbs.
• Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in warehouse conditions that are not always climate controlled and may include heat and humidity.
• Noise level may be loud at times.
• Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
