Job summary

Eaton in Arden, NC is seeking a Wire Harness Sub-Assembly operator for 1st shift to perform fabrication operations on raw materials using metal processing machinery. You will observe safety rules, receive and interpret work orders and drawings, complete paperwork, maintain tools, and inspect final components against specifications.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift 35 pounds, and read calipers or tape measures; the company offers equal opportunity

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCADdivision is currently seeking aWire Harness Sub-Assembly - 1st shift. This position is based at our Arden, NC location.

The hourly rate for this position is$19.50per hour.

What you’ll do:

The essential function of the Wire Harness Sub-Assembly person is to perform technical fabrication operations on raw materials throughout the Fabrication Department using metal processing machinery.

In this function you will:

A. Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations
B. Receive work assignments, oral or written instructions from Supervisor or Team Lead
C. Interpret work orders including written, Kanban cards, and drawings
D. Complete necessary paperwork and system transactions
E. Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation and calibration
F. Inspect final component against work specifications
G. Provide on-the-job training for new Operators
H. Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily
I. Complete any other assigned tasks from management

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Fabrication
• Able to read calipers, protractors and tape measures
• DMM experience

Position Criteria:

• Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
• Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance*
• Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
• Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet (JOE), DMM, etc.
• Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
