Vermillion Incorporated in Wichita, KS is seeking a Wire Harness Assembly Technician to build and terminate cables on the production floor. You will assemble, solder, crimp, and prepare cables for sealing following drawings and specifications.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Ability to use measuring tools to measure lengths accurately.
• Precise measurement to within 1/32 inch.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to assemble products according to drawings/diagrams.
• Color vision and close vision (20 inches) required.

Aufgaben

• Full-cycle assembly of cables, including layout, soldering.
• Striping/crimping jacketed wire, insertion of wire into contacts.
• Tightening connector assemblies, torquing, taping, banding.
• Using adhesive to prepare the cable for sealing.
• Perform all duties in accordance with Vermillion Quality Management System and Safety standards.
• Maintain a pristine and organized workbench.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Wire Harness Assembly (or Termination Technician) works on the
production floor, putting together a crucial and detailed part of our
product: the termination point, or where a cable ends. Youre turning a
bundle of wires and electrical pieces into a finely tuned, precisely
made cable (or set of cables) thats ready to use.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Full-cycle assembly of cables, including layout, soldering,
  

striping/crimping jacketed wire, insertion of wire into contacts,
tightening connecter assemblies, torquing, taping, banding, and
using adhesive to prepare the cable for sealing.

• Perform all duties in accordance with Vermillion Quality Management
  

System and Safety standards, using situation-appropriate tools and
protective equipment

• Develop an understanding of the principles of continuity and
  

operation of test equipment

• Maintain a pristine and organized workbench
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic hand tools
• Ability to use measuring tools to measure lengths accurately and
  

precisely is required; certain responsibilities may require
precision to within 1/32 inch

• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to assemble products according to verbal or written
  

instructions, or by following drawings/diagrams

• This position requires the ability to have color-correct vision and
  

clear vision at 20 inches or less (with or without the use of
corrective eyewear or a magnifying glass.
