Job summary

Magna-Power Electronics is seeking a skilled Wire Harness Assembler / Sub-Assembly to join our production team in Flemington, NJ. You will solder and wire assemblies, set up and stage components, and operate automated cable machinery on cutting-edge products.

This role emphasizes hands-on mechanical aptitude, reading wiring diagrams, and following tablet-based work instructions. First-shift schedule with comprehensive benefits is available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; degree or experience preferred.
  • 1–2 years related experience and/or training required; mechanical experience preferred.
  • Good mechanical aptitude with use of hand/power tools for electronic components and wire assembly.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring, crimping and drawing/bloack reading.
  • Familiarity with BOMs and assembly drawings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Soldering and wiring assemblies that are components in the final product.
  • Preparing set-up, forming, and staging of various components for assembly.
  • Operating automated wire crimping / cable machinery.
  • Performing visual inspection of wire harnesses and sub-assembly components.

Position Summary

The Sub-Assembly / Wire Harness Assembler will perform a combination of duties in assembly of various electronic components and wire harness assembly, according to company specifications. The assembler will use various hand and power tools, wiring diagrams, hand solder, and follow sample boards to determine assembly duties. Given the complex nature of the products, there will be significant hands-on training and interaction with various Magna-Power teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Soldering and wiring assemblies that are components in the final product
  • Preparing set-up, forming, and staging of various components for assembly
  • Operating automated wire crimping / cable machinery
  • Performing visual inspection of wire harnesses and sub-assembly components
  • Follow instructions provided by tablet-based work instructions
Education & Skills Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED (Required); 4 year degree or combination of education and experience (Preferred)
  • Minimum 1-2 years related experience and/or training (Required); Mechanical experience (Preferred)
  • Good mechanical aptitude and accurate use of various hand and power tools, and tabletop tools related to manufacturing of electronic components and wire assembly (Required)
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures and experience with electrical wiring, crimping and blue print reading (Required)
  • Knowledge and understanding of BOMs, assembly drawings and any other related manufacturing documents is (Preferred)
