Job summary

Design Ready Controls is seeking a Wire Harness Assembler to join our production team in a hands-on role. You will build wire harnesses from documentation, crimp terminals, and read BOMs and schematics to assemble precise harnesses for our customers.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, basic math and communication skills, and can work with limited supervision. This is a 1st or 2nd shift position with comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requires High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using precision measurement tools (tape measure, ruler).
• Ability to understand ISO environment and follow documented procedures.

Responsibilities

• Build Wire Harness from documentation.
• Crimp terminals on wire.
• Read, understand and utilize engineering docs including BOMs and wire lists.
• Make harnesses on boards using schematics and part numbers.
• Identify issues with reports and work with engineering to fix them.
• Document QC and problem resolution logs.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and participate in Lean activities.
• Assist in training and in other manufacturing areas as needed.
• Ensure customer focus throughout the organization.

Position Summary

Design Ready Controls is a leader in control panel building and searching for our next key player to join our production team. As a Wire Harness Assembler, you will be an integral part of our success and growth. This role is responsible for building wire harness products, and more.

1st & 2nd shift openings available.

Job Responsibilities

• Build Wire Harness from documentation
• Crimp terminals on wire
• Read, understand and utilize various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of materials, wire lists, etc.
• Make harnesses on harness boards utilizing schematics, 2D documents, and engineering part numbers
• Identify issues with reports and work with engineering to correct issues
• Document QC and problem resolution logs
• Maintain a safe, organized and efficient work area
• Assist in 5S and Lean activities as required
• Identify and assist in process improvement measures
• Assist in training measures as needed
• Assist in other areas of manufacturing as needed
• Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent
• Proficiency using precision measurement tools (tape measure, ruler, etc.)
• Experience working in an ISO environment preferred
• High motivation level and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work with independently with limited supervision
• Ability to work well with others
• Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills
• Safety awareness and practice
• Good math and communication skills
• Demonstrated computer skills
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English without the aid of an interpreter
• Ability to work overtime depending on workload

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Hourly Pay :$18.50-$21.00 DOE
