We are currently seeking a Wire EDM/CNC Machinist to join our team in Batesville, IN.

Your Role at Batesville:

As a Wire EDM/CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for supporting operations with the upkeep and maintenance of the tooling machines, as well as building parts and equipment, welding tooling, gauges, fixtures, and dies.

  • The expected base salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

What You’ll Do:

  • Set up and program machines, ensuring high-quality parts are produced efficiently and accurately.
  • Support operations by designing and building parts, equipment, weld tooling, gauges, fixtures, etc.
  • Communicate with management, engineers, technicians, and production personnel.
  • Assist tool and die maintenance with troubleshooting.
  • Perform routine maintenance on wire EDM and machining equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions.
  • Report any necessary repairs or maintenance issues.
  • Navigate CAD to make/change prints to desired models needed to produce parts.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools and instruments.
  • Ability to operate manual lathes, mills, and other manual machines.
  • Demonstrated learning agility, excellent communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency with CAD.
  • 2+ years technical experience or training.

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2 or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel:

Travel is not required.
