Job summary

Fort Wayne Metals Research Products Corp is seeking a Manufacturing Technician – Wiredrawer for Fort Wayne, IN. The role features a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends and voluntary overtime.

Start at $22.79/hr, progressing to $26.81/hr within ~6 months, with 2nd or 3rd shifts available. Work involves operating wire drawing equipment, performing setup, inspection, and processing, while maintaining quality standards and timely production.

Qualifications

• 2 years of manufacturing experience required.
• Hands-on technical experience may be considered in lieu of manufacturing.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to stand/walk most of shift and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate wire drawing machinery and perform setup, inspection, welding and grinding.
• Troubleshoot defects and determine root causes; communicate with supervisors.
• Produce wire per production orders and DSL/TL instructions.
• Act as first line inspector ensuring product quality.
• Keep work and storage areas clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
