Job summary

HSM in North Carolina is seeking a Production Operator to support our wire drawing and finishing processes. You will operate and adjust machines, load rod coils, perform quality inspections, and generate run paperwork while following safety practices.

The role requires teamwork, the ability to work 12-hour shifts, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A high school diploma is preferred and forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work/communicate well in a team environment.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
• Must be able to work in cold/hot temperature.
• Must be able to do heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. or more with assistance.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check with lead person at beginning of shift to determine the production schedule.
• Set-up and maintain wire drawing machines according to production schedule and quality standards. Make minor adjustments as necessary.
• Load rod coils on to drawing machine payoffs.
• Operate and run machine to produce a finished product.
• Perform quality inspections on regular basis throughout shift.
• At end of each run, generate inventory-related paperwork.
• Maintain good safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
