Job summary

HSM is seeking an Oil Temp Operator for the 1st shift at our Phoenix, AZ facility. This role supports wire drawing operations with a focus on production scheduling, machine setup and quality checks. Rotating 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend, are required and manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Team orientation and ability to communicate in a team environment.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to work in cold and hot temperatures.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs or more.
• Knowledge of wire drawing operation preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check with lead person at beginning of shift to determine the production schedule.
• Set up and maintain wire drawing machines according to production schedule and quality standards. Make minor adjustments as necessary.
• Load rod coils onto drawing machine payoffs.
• Operate and run the machine to produce a finished product.
• Perform quality inspections on a regular basis throughout the shift.
• At end of each run, generate inventory-related paperwork.
• Maintain good safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
