Job summary

Boeing Future of Flight is seeking a Wire Design & Install Engineer 2 for a 6-month contract in Everett, WA. You will develop and maintain cable harness detail and installation designs, supporting reviews and the development of statements of work.

This contract role involves working through a third-party employer, with pay on an hourly basis and optional benefits. CATIA/Enovia experience and CAD tools are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cable/wire harness design and installation.
• Proficient with CATIA/Enovia and CAD tools.
• Knowledge of design reviews and statements of work is a plus.

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs. Supports analysis and design reviews. Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas).Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests). Follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Supports the development of statements of work. Assists in the technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. Analyzes functional and physical input used in the development of integrated design and system architecture. Works under general supervision.

Equipment Installation and Wire Installation (Physical) Engineering Design for BCA Programs (737, 777, etc.)

Requirements:

• CADD Station (for Wire Design Engineer 652)
• CATIA and/or Enovia (for Wire and Equipment Installation Engineer 679)
