Job summary

Boeing is seeking a contract Electrical Design Engineer to support a wire installation project. This is a contract assignment through a Boeing-approved third party and not a full-time Boeing employment offer.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs, routing on the airplane, and documenting processes and procedures. Must have Catia V5 and 3D modeling experience with at least 5 years in electrical design.

Qualifications

• Catia V5 and 3D modeling experience required.
• Experience with wire routing design preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience.

Job description

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs. Analyzes results and performs design reviews. Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas).Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests). Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Develops basic statements of work. Participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design. Works under general direction.

Project

• Supporting the Electrical Design Programs.
• They will be working on a wire Installation project
• They’ll be doing the wire routing design throughout the airplane
