Job summary

Rexel USA, Inc. in Dothan, AL is seeking a Wire Cutter to join the Mayer Team. This role focuses on efficiently and accurately fulfilling wire and cable cut orders using specialized equipment, while maintaining safety and productivity standards.

Responsibilities include operating material handling equipment, inspecting wire for conformance, and ensuring accurate outbound shipments. Training on equipment will be provided; prior warehouse experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of wire cutting experience preferred
• Prior warehouse or distribution center experience a plus
• Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment.
• Follows established Standard Operating Procedures, Environmental Health and Safety Rules, and immediately addresses safety concerns
• Perform daily machine checks and operates material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Retrieve and cut wire efficiently and accurately for requested customer shipments; examine wire for conformance to specifications
• Fill all orders efficiently and accurately; ensure outbound shipments are accurate and damage-free
• Place reel of specified wire onto payout spindle and adjust machine controls for thickness, pressure, heat, and length
• Stack/store merchandise in the appropriate area and stage wire cuts for shipping
• Maintain minimum standards in wire cuts per company policies for accuracy and productivity
• Report any damage to electronic hardware or equipment to a supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned
