Job summary

World Electric is hiring a Wire Cutter to join our warehouse team. The role involves receiving, storing, cutting and preparing wires per customer orders, tracking cuts in our wire management system, and assembling orders for packing or shipping.

You will operate PIT equipment, verify cuts for accuracy and weigh/count items to meet our standards. A GED/HS diploma and some related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED at minimum.
• 1 year or more related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Full-time experience working with Eclipse Software is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Selects, pulls and cuts appropriate lengths and types of wire based on customer order.
• Verifies the accuracy of the wire cuts.
• Logs wire cuts.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Verifies the product that has been picked and documents discrepancies on an error log and has correct product re-picked.
• Uses computer to enter records into the wire management system.
