Job summary

Crawford Electric Supply is seeking a dedicated Wire Cutter to join our Irving distribution team. You will measure, cut and stage wire and cable, ensuring accuracy and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This role operates Monday through Sunday with a rotating schedule, requires basic math skills, and a commitment to quality control and OSHA safety standards. Join a growing, values-driven company within the Sonepar group.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of related experience and/or training is preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut wire/cable of differing sizes and weights with accuracy
• Fill out lot cards accurately (Basic addition and subtraction skills are required)
• Quality control to ensure no damaged product is sent out or brought in
• Verify all equipment is in safe working condition and calibrated as needed
• Verify and package product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
• Stage product for loading
• Load and unload product from trucks
• Move wire/cable to warehouse rack storage and move waste to dumpsters when needed
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) including stand-up, reach, order picker and sit-down forklifts
• Complete daily logs for PIT
• Clean and maintain a safe working area
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and OSHA safety standards
• Other duties as assigned
