Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer for our Taunton, MA facility. The role focuses on identifying equipment, tooling, and processes to manufacture specialty copper and fiber optic cables, directing development and ensuring manufacturing standards are met.

You will troubleshoot across shifts, create technical work instructions, and coordinate XP products and capital projects. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SAP, and Minitab is expected; Portuguese is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years in Manufacturing or Process Engineering, pref. in wire & cable.
• Must accurately distinguish colors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Minitab.
• Strong communication; Portuguese ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify equipment, tooling, and processes for manufacturing specialty copper and fiber optic cables.
• Plan and direct process development while maintaining specs and standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues across all shifts and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain technical manufacturing instructions and work procedures.
• Coordinate XP's products and capital projects; provide root cause analysis on non-conformances.
