Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Winterguard Assistant Band Instructor to support after-school instruction for the marching band program (Nov–Apr) in Kentucky. You will assist with percussion, color guard, and visual aspects of performance under the Band Director's direction.

The position requires a valid Kentucky teaching certificate or an Emergency Substitute Teaching certificate, and the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and the community.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Kentucky teaching certificate or an Emergency Certificate for Substitute Teaching under the qualifications outlined in 16 KAR 2:120 Sec. 2 (7)(b)
Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, parents, and the community

Responsibilities

Support the marching band program during the school year by assisting with after-school instruction in one or more of the following areas: percussion, instruments, color guard, winter guard, or visual aspects of performance
Assist with the coordination and scheduling of all after-school practices with the approval of the Band Director
Have all students under supervision of certified personnel at all times at approved after school programs
Performs other duties consistent with the position assigned as may be requested by the supervisor
