EisnerAmper in Birmingham is seeking winter Tax Internship professionals for Winter 2028. This full-time internship starts early January 2028 and offers hands-on experience in tax return preparation under close supervision.

We look for candidates pursuing accounting degrees, CPA licensure steps, strong Excel/Word skills, and the ability to work 40+ hours weekly in the office. Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical abilities are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing degrees/majors in accounting or equivalent program
• 0-2 years public accounting experience
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
• Pursuing minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure in the office state
• Pursuing 150 academic credits or master's in accounting or equivalent program
• Final Graduation Date of Dec 2028 - Sept 2029
• Strong academic track record (GPA 3.0 or higher)
• Strong MS Excel and MS Word
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic with ability to work independently and with a team
• Great communication, leadership, and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing tax returns to develop working knowledge of the firm’s practices
• Learn systems and business processes and work under close coaching
• Collaborate with seasoned professionals on client engagements
• Develop on-the-job technical skills and apply classroom knowledge
