Job summary

Bogus Basin Recreational Association, Inc. is seeking a Winter Sustainability Associate to support our guest-facing waste diversion program while helping achieve climate action goals.

This seasonal, part-time role focuses on engaging guests and improving recycling and composting processes in a mountain recreation setting. The position emphasizes hands-on work at waste diversion stations, collaboration with volunteers, and occasional support for the beverage team.

Qualifications

• Some education in sustainability, environmental science, environmental education, conservation, leadership, or related field.
• Passion and basic knowledge of sustainability & waste diversion programs.
• Must be at least 20 years of age with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Sort guest waste into recycling, compost, and landfill waste streams.
• Transport waste from the lodges to our waste diversion center.
• Maintain waste stations and signage.
• Buss and clean tables.
• Provide guest education on recycling, composting, and other means of reducing waste.
• Assist with coordinating and communicating with volunteers.
• Assist our food and beverage team with occasional support tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
