Job summary

Glaciers Edge Maintenance in South Anchorage is seeking a winter tractor operator to join our small, owner-operated team. The winter schedule includes on-call shifts with guaranteed 20 hours per week, and a summer period with guaranteed 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 6 pm.

You may progress to a lawn care supervisor after one year, with salary and a company vehicle. No experience required, but an onsite driving test will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a clean driver’s license (3+ years).
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving and safety awareness.
• Ability to work with diverse people and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow removal equipment and John Deere tractors.
• Perform maintenance: fluids, wash, site checks.
• Assist in summer lawn care: mowing, edging, trimming.
• Tow and back up a lawn trailer safely.
• Work on-call in winter and normal hours in summer.
