Job summary

The Bruce Company is seeking a Snow Equipment Operator to support our winter snow and ice response in Middleton, WI. This regular part-time position involves operating plows, loaders, spreaders, and related equipment, with on-call and seasonal hours expected.

Responsibilities include performing inspections, applying deicer, documenting work, and ensuring safety and site access during snow events. CDL may be required for certain equipment; prior training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Commercial driver’s license is required only when equipment legally requires it.
• Completion of company equipment, driving, material-application, and site-specific training (Level 2) is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow equipment, plows, loaders, sidewalk machines, and spreaders within trained scope.
• Perform pre-use and post-use inspections and report issues promptly.
• Apply deicer or brine per approved rates and conditions.
• Maintain safety and protect property while operating equipment.
• Document service time, materials, and conditions accurately.
• Stay in communication with leadership and adapt to changing priorities.
• Complete required training and participate in post-event reviews.
