Job summary

Windham Mountain Club is hiring for an in-person, winter seasonal coaching role based in Windham, NY. Coaches develop skiing fundamentals and race performance while maintaining a safe, positive training environment. Training options may include PSIA/USSS certification support and opportunities to grow with the program.

Experience is preferred but not required; the team values coaching potential and a commitment to safety and athlete development in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 14 years old.
• Advanced skiing ability required.
• Strong understanding of the Alpine Responsibility Code.
• Strong communication and instructional skills.
• Previous racing or coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach athletes using modern alpine skiing techniques and training methods.
• Promote on-mountain safety through effective terrain selection and group management.
• Support athlete development, goal setting, and skill progression.
• Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive training environment.
• Assist with training setup, equipment management, and program operations.
• Follow all Windham Mountain Club policies and safety procedures.
• Participate in required training and professional development opportunities.
