Howard Head Sports Medicine seeks a Winter Seasonal Vail Health Patient Access Representative to handle patient registration and admissions in a busy hospital setting in Vail, CO. The position runs November through April with a full-time rotating schedule and housing support.

You will verify insurance, collect co-pays, and coordinate with the care team while delivering excellent customer service. This role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and CMS/HIPAA compliance in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience providing front-desk or patient access support.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Solid understanding of basic clerical tasks and patient intake processes.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and collects consents and financial paperwork.
• Answers phones and responds to inquiries to assist access to care.
• Performs documentation audits for medical necessity and payors.
• Schedules procedures and sends reminders; maintains patient reminders and recalls.
• Maintains and scans medical records; handles front desk inventory and supplies.
• Complies with CMS, HIPAA, EMTLA, and Joint Commission requirements.
