Job summary

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking a Seasonal Long Term Painter II for the Boston Region for Winter 26-27. Position runs 11/30/2026–3/20/2027 (15 weeks) at 40 hrs per week.

Report to Cambridge area; work includes painting buildings, benches, minor repairs, and light welding with a team of facilities staff. Applicants should have at least two years of painting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time painting experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Diploma or certificate from a recognized trade/school may substitute for up to one year of required experience.
• Possession of Massachusetts Rigger's License may be required based on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Paint agency buildings, benches and surfaces.
• Perform minor carpentry, repairs and small installs.
• Perform minor welding tasks and basic maintenance.
• Supervise lower-grade workers and coordinate with facilities staff.
• Follow industry safety standards and complete CAMIS forms timely.
