Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. seeks a Line Cook at the National Park Inn for the winter season. You will work with the kitchen team to prepare, cook, and present meals in a safe, sanitary environment.

Responsibilities include following recipes and menus, maintaining FIFO, cleaning equipment, operating stations, requisitioning supplies, and helping ensure menu costs stay economical. A high school diploma is preferred, with culinary knowledge and strong sanitation and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of culinary knowledge.
• Food safety certification and strong sanitation habits.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Ability to recognize problems and communicate to management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, daily menus, and supervisor instructions.
• Maintain and rotate food items to ensure quality; date and label items; practice FIFO.
• Clean and inspect kitchen equipment, appliances, and work areas.
• Operate food station and complete station checklists and signage.
• Requisition food supplies and equipment based on future needs.
• Monitor menus and spending to keep meals economical.
• Know all stations and plate presentations.
• Report safety issues to management.
