Job summary

The Lincoln County Highway Department is seeking a Winter Equipment Operator to help keep county roads safe during snow and ice events. You will operate snowplows and spreaders, perform routine maintenance, and respond to highway emergencies as needed.

Hours vary and may include nights, weekends and on-call shifts; typical week ranges from 20 to 40 hours. The position starts at $25.76 per hour and requires a CDL and clean driving record.

Qualifications

• CDL with clean driving record and ability to pass background checks.
• Capable of strenuous outdoor labor and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Able to read and follow verbal and written instructions and maintain records.
• Professional appearance and dependable attendance, including on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Snow and ice removal on County roads and related maintenance.
• Respond to highway emergencies and assist as needed.
