Job summary

The Lincoln County Highway Department is seeking an Equipment Operator to join a team responsible for snow removal, paving, sealing, and general road maintenance in Lincoln County. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED plus several years operating heavy equipment, a valid driver's license, and be eligible for a CDL.

A clean driving record and background check are required. Key tasks include operating graders, dozers, plow trucks, and performing routine maintenance on fleet equipment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate motor grader for finish grade work and final grading.
• Operate tractor/trailer units and mower for roadside maintenance.
• Operate dozer with attachments for road construction and maintenance.
• Plow snow with heavy plows, apply sand-chemical mixtures to ice and snow.
• Install and maintain traffic signs and clear brush from roadways.
• Assist with signs, culverts, flagging, debris removal, and shop maintenance.
• Perform minor repairs and servicing of equipment and purchasing parts.
