Luminant Power LLC in Connecticut is seeking a Winter Intern to support engineering staff on special projects, data entry, maintenance, and day-to-day plant operations during the winter academic break. The internship provides hands-on experience applying engineering principles and classroom knowledge to real-world plant challenges, with opportunities to learn and contribute across the Lake Road Plant.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Management of Change process, developing and implementing new ideas and initiatives
• Maintain plant housekeeping and security
• Assist in the development of standard operational procedures as assigned
• Assist with mechanical maintenance tasks, routine Preventative Maintenance, and inspections and troubleshooting as assigned
• Assist with operational and mechanical activities to maximize plant availability and reliability
• Complete required plant training
• Perform other projects as assigned
