Job summary

The Sonnenalp Hotel of Vail is seeking a Winter Seasonal Line Cook to join our luxury culinary team. You will prepare high-quality dishes on a busy line, maintaining consistency and efficiency while supporting daily kitchen operations in a premier resort environment.

Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years of kitchen experience (fine dining preferred), a culinary mindset, and a focus on safety and teamwork. Housing is available on a first-come, first-served basis for winter staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years prior kitchen experience, preferably in fine dining.
• Performance review score of 3.0 or higher.
• Able to read and follow recipes and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present hot and cold items on assigned line.
• Follow recipes, menus and established standards for quality.
• Maintain sanitation and labeling in walk-ins and storage.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and line setup.
• Communicate effectively with team and management.
