Qualifications

• MSHAA coaching certification and MO teaching certificate preferred.

• Mentoring or coaching experience in community or civic athletics programs.
• Superior interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor academic performance of team members to ensure eligibility.
• Hold organizational meetings for team prospects and recruit athletes.
• Assess players' skills and assign team positions.
• Develop regular practice schedules for individual and team development.
• Coordinate facility scheduling with the athletics director.
• Coach and instruct players on rules, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
• Determine game strategy based on team capabilities.
• Maintain proper pupil behavior and supervise athletes at all times.
• Model professional standards in dealings with students, parents, peers, and community.
• Foster cooperative relationships with athletes, parents, staff, administration and community.
