Job summary

South Callaway R 2 School District HIGH SCHOOL in Mokane, Missouri is seeking an HS Assistant Cheerleading Coach to support the Head Coach in all aspects of the program and to promote sportsmanship and academic excellence among athletes.

The coach will report to the Athletic Director and Building Principal, demonstrate leadership, and maintain strong communication and organizational skills to develop student-athletes within Missouri interscholastic athletics.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Knowledge of basketball skills and strategies for interscholastic athletics in Missouri.
• Leadership qualities and dedication to character development.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in all aspects of the cheerleading program.
• Promote the program within the school and community.
• Work cooperatively with other coaches to operate a well-balanced athletic program.
• Ensure athletes have valid medical examinations and other required qualifications before practice.
• Engage with parents in a positive and constructive manner.
• Develop ties with youth cheerleading programs through camps and clinics.
• Complete trainings set forth by MSHSAA and South Callaway RII.
